The Opportunity The Director, Land, Planning and Environment will be accountable for building and leading a successful and talented team, and providing project-wide leadership and strategic direction for all Planning, Urban Design, Land, Sustainability and Environment matters.
They will provide expertise and leadership around the land, planning and environmental issues impacting the planning and delivery of Vic Grid projects.
The role is responsible for providing authoritative advice on a range of land, planning and environmental issues whilst working closely and building strong relationships with a range of government departments and industry stakeholders.

What You Will Deliver You will provide active leadership, direction and management across the Land, Planning Environment function, capitalise on and leverage resources and skills and foster an environment of shared success within the team and across projects.
You will oversee the development and implementation of planning functions across Vic Grid including leading planning and heritage, and other relevant approval processes to facilitate project implementation.
You will provide expert authoritative planning, environmental and heritage advice to major project team and manage the resolution of significant planning issues.
You will manage planning and approvals processes including planning scheme amendment material, permit applications, environmental referrals, and other approvals documentation as required.
What You Will Bring Knowledge of the Victorian planning and approvals process and legislation relevant to the development and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
An excellent understanding of heritage, cultural and indigenous issues and experience in managing their impact on infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and provide sound technical advice on planning and environmental matters within a major infrastructure project or construction environment.
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in urban planning, urban geography, environmental management, environmental science, or a similar discipline.
