Your New Role Reporting directly to the Group Head, legal & Advisory, you will be instrumental in leading the strategic delivery of Development Victoria's organisational risk, environment, safety, and wellbeing programs including strengthening capability, culture and systems, and providing highly practical expertise and support to help mitigate and resolve complex and challenging issues.

Lead the Risk, Environment, Safety, and Wellbeing team aligned with Development Victoria's values – Innovate, Collaborate, Deliver.
Develop and oversee the risk management framework, ensuring regulatory and strategic alignment, driving business resilience, engagement, and process efficiency across the organisation.
Define and implement the cultural and strategic vision for RESW management.
Provide leadership in embedding risk-thinking across all projects with the EPMO.
Deliver insightful reports with clear analysis to the Board, ARC, and executive teams.
Lead key initiatives, including the annual risk management attestation and risk workshop.
Ensure legislative compliance and provide training to meet OHSE responsibilities.
Investigate incidents and manage worker's compensation policies effectively.
Drive staff wellbeing through a psychosocial risk framework and monitor the EAP program.
Design and manage business continuity and emergency frameworks with annual testing plans.
Build strong relationships with emergency services and external stakeholders.
Use insights from incidents and trends to advise on vulnerabilities and exposures.
Ensure timely escalation of significant risks to the CEO or ARC when necessary.
Provide mentoring and leadership to support the growth of capability within the Risk & HSE team and broader organisation.
About you: Bachelor's degree in: Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene; or Business, Property, Construction, or Engineering along with or incorporating a significant component of specialist risk management education.
Leadership experience managing a strategic risk and OHSE function.
Development, construction, infrastructure, engineering or related sector experience, highly desirable.
Experience supporting and leading organisation-wide project and change management.
Facilitation, influencing and stakeholder engagement experience.
Previous experience with Government or statutory authority (desirable, however not essential).
Previous management responsibility emergency and/or insurance management, commercial or financial management.
