About the Role As an Enterprise Finance Business Governance and Controls Associate, you'll play a key role in helping to drive cultural change and embed the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Framework and associated policy requirements across Enterprise Finance, to assist with the transformation to the I.
AM Amplified framework, and ensuring 1 LOD operates within the Framework and Group risk appetite.
Your role will provide critical support to the Risk Owners and Control Owners in discharging their responsibilities and accountabilities.
You will contribute to building and sustaining an effective risk culture across Enterprise Finance that will enable the bank to continuously improve, adapt, evolve, survive, and flourish.
You will undertake the assessment of control environment effectiveness and residual risk ratings, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and support the execution of control effectiveness testing.

As an Enterprise Finance Business Governance and Controls Associate, you will: Ensure controls are designed and implemented to meet the needs of Risk Owner and Control Objective requirements.
Partner with Control Owners to identify and understand Control needs.
Oversee the assessment of control environment effectiveness and residual risk rating.
Execute control effectiveness testing, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties have been applied between control testing and design.
Where Issues/Events relevant to controls have been identified and escalated, advising on remediation plans.
What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Experience in supporting risk, governance, assurance, controls, and compliance activities.
Experience with written and verbal communication, report writing and presentation.
Proven ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a team and support ideas to continuously improve team performance.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing useful and insightful risk reporting.
Ability to work to deadlines and being organised in all operations.
You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
