THE PROJECT Mc Connell Dowell is the constructor within the Western Program Alliance (WPA) which forms part of the Victorian State government's ambitious level crossing removal program.
The Alliance brings together the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), V/Line and Arup and Mott Mac Donald as design partners.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY Mc Donnell Dowell are seeking a Communications & Stakeholder Manager to join the team, initially based in Diggers Rest then transitioning to Tarneit West.
This role ensures that the project's public profile and our relationships in the community are authentic and thrive.
The Communications & Stakeholder Manager will lead the development of communications and stakeholder relations strategies to guide external engagement and support for the project through project delivery.
ABOUT YOU At least ten years' professional experience in communications or stakeholder relations with relevant media or communications qualifications Strong communications skills both interpersonal and written Demonstrated stakeholder communications experience, preferably in a construction, major project or infrastructure environment Capacity to build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders A proactive approach to identifying stakeholder opportunities and risks, and an ability to identify innovative solutions to complex problems Ability to develop and mentor staff.
