The purpose of this role is to: Produce BOQ costings and purchase orders for Burbank Projects ensuring that project costs are accurately calculated and target margins are achieved in accordance with business unit objectives.
Key Result Area Produce BOQs for project building costs including all preliminaries, incorporating input from all relevant stakeholders – developer, sales agent, designer, planning consultant, energy rater, engineer, purchasing manager, suppliers, OH&S manager, building manager, etc.

Accuracy - ordered project costs consistent with budgeted costs.
Timeliness – estimates and production orders delivered within agreed time frame.
Sales Support: Provide costings on design/specification changes, site works and variation requests to enable sales agents to present solutions to clients/developers to close sales and to enable contracts to be produced.
Accuracy – costings in accordance with established price file and free of errors.
Timeliness – costings provided within agreed time frames.
Workflow: Contribute to weekly workflow planning, ensure estimates & production orders are completed as planned.
Identify and implement solutions to any blockages threatening on-time delivery in conjunction with team leader.
Tasks completed in accordance with planned dates.
Feedback from admin, drafting and building teams.
Reporting: Ensure all task allocations and completions are recorded on the workflow tracking system immediately they occur.
Official reporting system maintained up to date at all times with no reliance on off-line reports.
Quality Control: Contribute to the development, documentation and implementation of quality control processes to ensure the accuracy of completed BOQs & orders.
Errors reported by sales, administration and building teams.
Adhesion to established quality control processes.
Compliance: Ensure all BOQs & orders produced comply with relevant regulatory controls – building code, developer guidelines, town planning permit conditions, covenants, restrictions on title etc.

Ensure orders are allocated to suppliers and contractors in accordance with schedules determined by the purchasing and building departments.

ETS Reduction: Respond to feedback from building department regarding causes of estimating related margin erosion.
Take action to ensure any reported errors are corrected and not repeated.

Product Release: Provide package and pricing information for release to "Stock Exchange" system or other stakeholder as required.
Packages completed within agreed time frames.
Pricing reflects agreed product inclusions and any exclusions clearly noted.
Key Supplier Relationships: Liaise with key consultant suppliers (e.g.
engineer) regarding required work, monitor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and report performance.
Escalate any shortfall.
Inputs from suppliers provided in accordance with production plan and service level agreements.
Service shortfalls reported and causes identified.
Construction Support: Receive feedback from building team regarding queries on orders and resolve to enable construction to continue without delay.
Process any building variations that arise to ensure documentation reflects project as built, including variations to contract pricing and order amendments.
Building department feedback on speed and suitability of resolution.
As built documentation is maintained during construction process.
Typical Qualifications & Experience At least 5 years' experience of domestic medium density construction estimating, Databuild or similar software & BCA.
Proven knowledge of domestic construction methods.
Able to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Able to understand and interpret technical aspects of design and construction.
Tertiary qualified in a building or engineering field.
