Join the team We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Business Partner , who will play a pivotal role in delivering commercial thought leadership to the Kmart and Target merchandise teams.
Collaborating closely with the merchandise, inventory and trade functions across both brands as well as senior leaders within the organisation, you will identify, develop, and implement action plans to boost business performance and elevate commercial acumen.
What you'll be doing As a Finance Business Partner working with Kmart and Target, you will: Serve as the interface between finance and merchandise, inventory, and trade stakeholders, in order to drive improved business performance.
Problem solve, identify trends and proactively address upcoming issues and opportunities.
Deliver regular reporting, perform ad hoc analysis, and develop tools and processes to deliver insights, identify risks/opportunities, and support commercial decision-making.
Lead budgeting and monthly forecasting/planning processes for stakeholders, ensuring inputs and outcomes make financial and commercial sense, and the functions meet their annual targets.
Provide financial and commercial support to stakeholders on project cost control, performance reporting, and process improvements.
Stay informed on industry trends and issues within retail.
Lead the identification of new initiatives and facilitate common understanding and alignment across support areas.
To be successful in this role you'll have: A minimum of five years' experience in a financial or commercial role.
Experience with merchandise, inventory, trade or FMCG activities.
Be CPA or CA qualified.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
The ability to demonstrate thought leadership, initiative and operate in an autonomous manner.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred experience with financial modelling.
Preferred experience using SAP, TM1 and Excel.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
