The school is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our business operations team. Working across both Berwick and Officer campuses, the Finance Manager will assist the Executive Director of Business Services and Company Secretary in reporting on the financial position of the School, Foundation and associated groups and to deputise for the Executive Director of Business Services and Company Secretary when required. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Account Management of the school's accounts Preparation of monthly cash flows and financial reports Maintain the general ledger accounts Manage the finance team (accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll) Review monthly payroll Prepare monthly government returns including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, PAYG Assist with government reporting for the school Oversee department budget expenditure, prepare monthly forecasting and assist with the annual department preparation To be successful in the role: Qualification as an Accountant (i.e. CPA/CA); Experience in the management of accounting and financial operations in a school environment High level skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point) and School Administration Software (e.g., TASS). Demonstrated interpersonal skills, presentation skills and the capacity to prepare various written financial reports for all levels within the business; A strong understanding of accounting/finance operations; An understanding of modern technology in education and the workplace; Exemplary interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution and active listening.
