Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to become an integral part of their Finance Team.
This role offers the opportunity to manage daily accounting, finance and investment processes in a hands-on capacity.
The successful candidate will support the Financial Controller in managing the finance activities of the company, with a focus on Investment Reporting and Fund Accounting.
What you'll do: Calculate monthly management fees derived from benefit funds Prepare cost centre budget reports for review of monthly results Maintain clearing and accrual account reconciliations Prepare actuarial workbooks for review Handle payroll preparations Generate monthly sales statistics and client reports Prepare monthly income tax calculation Review or prepare recording and reconciliation of bank transactions Assist with annual budget process and update forecasts on a monthly basis What you bring: Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Commerce or Economics CA/CPA qualification is preferred Demonstrated senior accounting experience in a similar role Extensive experience in financial reporting, financial analysis and year-end reporting Experience dealing with both internal and external audit processes Experience dealing with regulatory reporting, specifically APRA Understanding of tax as it applies to investments and corporate structures Delivery of investment activities within compliance and risk management frameworks What sets this company apart: Our client is known for their commitment to professional development and fostering a supportive work environment.
