About The Opportunity
Our clients stand alone venue operates Monday to Friday for regular trade, and will occasionally hold private events from Monday to Sunday. The business mostly attracts corporate clientele, offering multiple food and beverage options to people who are looking for a relaxed lunch or something to grab on the go. They also have event spaces that cater for small conferences, product launches, corporate events, and community gatherings.
Working closely with the Head of Operations, the General Manager will need to understand that guest satisfaction can be delivered in various ways - some of their food and beverage menus are uncomplicated yet delivered to excellent standards, and other outlets have a creative edge that push culinary boundaries for more formal occasions.
This fixed term contract will require you to be on site at all times, pivoting from being one of the faces for the business during service, to managing all financial controllables and business development opportunities across their events segments.

A balance of front of house management and strategically driving a business unit.
The candidate
3+ years experience as a F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager or Venue Manager.
Experience in event management is desirable, but not essential.
Skilled and experienced in cost control and menu design.
Ability to manage a simple roster system, in line with budget goals.
Strong leadership and training skills, someone who is able to coach and guide teams through seasonal change.
