The Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, Island Health, is seeking two Geriatric Psychiatrists to join 8 others in Victoria.
The successful candidate will provide geriatric psychiatry consultation to inpatient and outpatient services, including the Sandringham Tertiary Care Unit, which provides psychiatric and psychosocial rehabilitation to complex clientele.
There may also be opportunities to provide service in Neuromodulatory treatments (ECT, TMS) as well as Telehealth to other island communities.
Participation in the Geriatric Psychiatry call rotation is a requirement of this position.
The Division enjoys collegial relationships with the Island Health geriatric medicine, adult psychiatry, and hospitalist services.
Inpatient services and the outpatient clinics are supported by interdisciplinary teams.
As Island Health is part of the UBC Faculty of Medicine Island Medical Program, there is an opportunity for training of medical students and residents, and applying for a clinical appointment is expected.
Participation in research is strongly encouraged and facilitated by Island Health.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all departmental, clinical, and operational team meetings and take on a lead role when required.

Additional Information Ideally looking for two Geriatric Psychiatrists to work 0.7 FTE each; however, would also consider candidates who are interested in full-time or part-time work.
