SIAG Legal is a workplace relations firm made up of a team of senior lawyers and advisors. The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Lawyer who thrives in a busy, fast paced, and challenging work environment.
With the support of the Legal Director and legal team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Tending to general employment law queries pertaining to the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), a relevant Industry Award or Enterprise Agreement arising through SIAG's advice line service.
Providing advice on a range of employment law matters. The level of matters dealt with by the graduate lawyer will grow as they accrue experience.
Assisting in the process of Enterprise Agreement bargaining by liaising with clients, generating client-facing comparative and analytical documents and assisting lawyers in the creation and lodgement of documentation required by the Fair Work Commission.
Generating articles on recent legislative or common law employment law changes for SIAG Circulars and Advisors.
Requirements For The Successful Candidate
Completion of a Law Degree.
Commitment to a career in employment law.
Strong attention to detail.
High Levels of organisation with the ability to multitask and prioritise work.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced MS office and typing skills, as well as general computer knowledge.
