We aim to equip our Graduate Registered Nurses with the skills and confidence to successfully initiate known theory with practice within the health care setting.
You will be encouraged to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills throughout the Program and into your career.
You will receive regular study days, education sessions, debrief sessions and be assigned a mentor to support your induction and development.
At the completion of the Graduate Program you will have the option of choosing either to participate in our Transition Program or apply for ongoing employment in an area of your choice according to available EFT.
Our Program: BRHS offers a single program providing the opportunity to consolidate practice in various areas in the clinical settings, including a potential primary health care rotation to our East Gippsland partner Gippsland Lakes Complete Health (GLCH) in Lakes Entrance.
Permanent appointment (subject to performance) 2 x 6 month rotational positions throughout the hospital Rotations are available in; Medical/Surgical TAMBO ward, Medical/Palliative/Paediatrics Rotamah ward, Rehabilitation/ AOD Flanagan ward and Aged Care.
Specialty rotations are available in; Emergency, Medical Imaging, Perioperative areas and Midwifery (dual degree graduates only), with the opportunity to indicate your preference.
Off-site primary health care rotation also available.
