The Opportunity The Head of Compliance is a senior role within the Second Line of Worldline, focusing specifically on the Australian market.
Worldline has established a strategic presence within Australia to grow the business across the APAC region, and the Head of Compliance is instrumental in ensuring that the Australian entities are fully compliant with all legal and regulatory obligations, and that all Australian entities comply with Worldline standards, policies and processes, and to identify and manage current and emerging compliance risks and issues.
A key focus will be ensuring Worldline is prepared to comply with the requirements of the upcoming licensing regime for payments, and the Head of Compliance will be instrumental in leading the AFSL application for Worldline.
This role will report into the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, while working collaboratively with the Second Line functions both locally in Australia, and globally with the Worldline Group Second Line functions.
Worldline currently has offices in Melbourne and Sydney and while this role will be based in Melbourne some travel (less than 10%) may be required to the Sydney office and other offices as required.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Australia Compliance function, and align and collaborate with the broader Worldline Group Compliance functions.
Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Stay abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards, and ensure that the organization is prepared to meet new compliance requirements.
Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to address and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on compliance-related matters and support business initiatives while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and audits and work to maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on compliance performance, areas of improvement, and emerging risks.
Experience 10+ years within a senior Compliance role.
5+ years of proven experience within AFSL licensed organisation.
5+ years of proven leadership and team management skills.
5+ years of proven AML/CTF experience.
Proven experience leading, or being a key contributor, in an AFSL application.
Experience working in matrix organisations.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent commercial awareness and industry knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to legal and regulatory compliance.
