The Role: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Football coach who will lead, promote, nurture, and develop the Carey Football Program (AFL/AFLW).
The Head of Football is responsible for coaching development, operations, and administration of the program for students in Years 5 - 12.
This position is full-time; however, part-time will be considered for the preferred candidate.
There is a requirement to work during school holidays.
Tasks & Responsibilities: Educate and upskill a team of coaches to provide high-quality programs for Carey students to learn and develop their skills and knowledge of football.
Build a football coaching curriculum that provides progression from year 5-12.
Identify talent that contributes positively to school culture and excellence.
Develop, promote, and coordinate afterschool and holiday clinics.
Coordinate all aspects of the football program/calendars including celebration events and equipment for game/training days.
Act as the primary contact for parents/guardians and students regarding the football program.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding football operations across the year.
Manage and complete administration for the program including attendance, team lists, and incident reports.
Maintain and manage the football budget.
Represent Carey at events and functions relevant to the program.
The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: A relevant AFL/AFLW Football Coaching Accreditation Certificate (Minimum Level 2).
Expertise in football (AFL/AFLW) is essential.
Demonstrated success in coaching and developing a team in AFL/AFLW.
A passion for developing athletes and coaches.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Anaphylaxis Accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
First Aid (Minimum Level 2) (or willingness to obtain).
A valid Employee Working With Children Check is a requirement of employment in this position.
