Head Of Quality

Sun Pharmaceuticals (Australia) is a stand-alone operation that supplies up to 25% of the global demand for opiate raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients to the global pharmaceutical industry. Sun's supply chain is focused at two sites in Australia and starts with agricultural operations in Tasmania that cultivate, harvest and process poppy crops, through to highly regulated extraction and value adding manufacturing operations in Victoria. We are seeking a suitably skilled and experienced person to lead our Quality team in an exciting senior management position.
Key Duties
Responsible for the overall compliance of the Sun Pharma Australia business quality systems.
Ensuring that only safe, compliant product is released to the market.
Management of all aspects of quality assurance for the manufacturing operations at the Latrobe and Port Fairy sites, inclusive of QMS, GMP, QA laboratories, validation and compliance.
Responsible for ongoing development of quality management systems and site quality management plans.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Bachelor degree in quality, science or engineering.
Strong knowledge and experience in quality management systems (QMS).
Sound understanding of the TGA Code of GMP, requirements of an analytical laboratory, validation principles and audit practices.
Ability to understand and apply regulatory codes and standards to ensure the release of compliant and safe product.
Requires multi-cultural communication, teamwork and relationship building skills.
The position has significant impact upon the overall performance results of the business due to the level of stakeholder engagement that is expected across a global organisation and with external regulatory bodies.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
