An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic OHS&E Partner to join our team.

Our current OHS&E is about to take maternity leave & requires a committed person to maintain the high quality of Safety that has been established in her absence.
A highly motivated individual who is organised with the determination to ensure OHS&E compliance obligations are constantly exceeded.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and CEO, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the health and safety of all work environments within the business, internally and externally.
This includes monitoring and controlling of health and safety compliance and related updated standards, promoting safety awareness among the team, advising management on associated laws and regulations, preparing safety policies, training employees on safety and health related issues, and maintaining health and safety records of the business.

Our team will offer hands-on support, training, and guidance during your tenure.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED Min 3 years' experience in the Construction Industry Cert III or higher in OHS Working knowledge of laws and regulations related to the environment and workplace health and safety Sound computer literacy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills White Card Preferred VESI training Car License You are not afraid of working in a fast-paced and competitive industry, drawing on your extensive knowledge of health, safety, and quality to work in partnership with our team.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS Leadership experience having worked in a similar position Collaborative and supportive Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relations, internal and external Demonstrated ability to self-manage Well-developed information management and analytical skills Professional written and verbal communication skills Innovative and proactive approach to work environments Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and compliance The ability to work in partnership with all team members for the benefit of the business as a whole.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor Health and Safety in all work environments Conduct workplace internal and external audits and inspections Maintain all OHS&E records Coordinate training for site personnel and ensure records are maintained Ensure compliance to OHS&E Management System Monitor and update systems as required Record & Investigate all OHS&E incidents and continuous improvement Ensure all Vehicles, Plant and Equipment are in good working condition and in service Conduct regular scheduled safety workgroup & management meetings Ensure all staff are working to and maintain safe work practices Ensure all calibrations & testing is in date & recorded Prepare & communicate project specific OHS&E documentation Develop strategies and implement new systems in relation to safety Monitor updates of legislation, act, regulations, codes of practice & compliance codes Develop and maintain a strong rapport with Applied employees, contractors and clients.
Promote the Applied values and standards in OHS&E management and awareness amongst staff, clients, contractors, and clients.
