About The Role As part of our Outcomes team in the Gippsland Division, you will lead the team delivering services in one of our residential homes in Moe South.
You will work alongside people we support, their families/guardians, and staff to ensure that the people we support receive the highest level of care.
You will work with an incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and committed Operations Manager who is there to support you.
In addition, you will be supported and coached by our Practice Quality and Safeguards team, who are experts in Zero Tolerance, human rights-based Positive Behaviour Support, and a person-centred approach.
Shift work is required with early morning and late nights and one weekend every fortnight.
There are no sleepovers required.
Employment, salary, and benefits are in accordance with the Disability Services Enterprise Agreement (Victoria) 2018 to 2022 Classification Level DDSO3.
What You'll Do Supervise the operations of the Supported Independent Living service with regular reporting to the Operations Manager.
Manage all aspects of team performance including rosters, performance management, records management, quality, and compliance.
Lead and plan support for people with disabilities within their home and community, based on the goals of individual support plans.
Support initiatives that allow for individual choice, control, and independence within their shared home environment.
Advocate within the broader community for inclusion, participation, and respect for rights for supported people.
Convey information to people we support and their families to help meet daily needs and plan support for future requirements.
Administer medication treatments, therapies, or seek assistance according to protocols.
About You Must hold an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management or equivalent qualification.
Must hold a Certificate IV in Disability.
Experience and knowledge in the field of disability and ability to apply policies and processes.
Specialised and contemporary understanding of disability and an ability to apply this theoretical knowledge to client support.
Understanding and familiarity with NDIS funding and planning processes.
Understanding of person-centred active support, positive behaviour support, and its implementation within a diverse team.
Passionate about supporting people with mental health and intellectual disability.
Knowledge of and skill with coaching, supervision, and planning practices.
Competencies using Microsoft Office software programs.
Experience in leadership positions.
You will also bring with you: NDIS worker screening Check.
Working With Children Check.
Current unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
Evidence of complying with COVID-19 Vaccination - 3 doses.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
