Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment) As one of the largest private bus operators across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, CDC Victoria is in the business of "Linking People, Places and Communities".
With a fleet of 500 buses and coaches, we employ over 1000 staff from 80 diverse nations, and operate out of 8 depots – in Ballarat, Geelong, Mildura and Broken Hill, Oakleigh, Sunshine, Tullamarine and Wyndham, which incorporates our Head Office.
We serve the community by providing essential public transport and offering reliable charter services to schools, sporting groups and other recreational groups within Victoria.
The role: We are currently searching for a HR Administrator to join our People and Culture team based in our head office in Truganina.
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the HR Administrator will work collaboratively with the People and Culture team to provide support and administration to enable the successful delivery of a full range of HR services to CDC Victoria.
Please be aware that although the position is located in Truganina, you may need to travel to other depots in areas such as Ballarat, Geelong, and Oakleigh.
Therefore, you must possess a valid driver's license and have your own car.
It is important to note that there is no hybrid work model due to the nature of our business and the critical role of the HR department.
In this role you will: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, and performing reference checks.
Ensure that relevant employment-related checks are conducted and records are maintained (e.g., police checks, licenses, working with children checks, etc.).
Ensure new staff are properly onboarded into various systems to maintain data integrity within our records and systems.
Assist with creating and distributing company employment contracts and documentation.
Ensure HR records are maintained in a compliant and confidential manner.
Update and maintain forms, templates, policies, guidelines, procedures and processes.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving workplace culture as directed by the Manager, Human Resources.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline.
A strong administrative background.
Experience within HR or Recruitment is ideal but not essential.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to plan and monitor progress against objectives.
A positive people-focused attitude.
Drivers' licence and own vehicle and a willingness to travel to other depots from time to time.
Willingness to undertake further training or qualification as required by CDC for professional development.
