Description Mission Statement:Implement BU and Hitachi Energy performance improvement programs, initiatives and practices to ensure an exemplary HSE culture throughout the assigned HUB. Coach, support and advise leadership and line managers on HSE matters and report on the performances of the respective HUB along BU value chain. Support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice.Your Responsibilities:You must ensure timely notification of HSE incidents, investigations, preventive and corrective actions, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Global BU and HUB Management.You will take feedback on lessons learned and best practices from own unit and across Division/BU to management and employees. As required, reports on HSE performance and progress on implementation of Division/BU objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to BU.You must ensure the HUB operates in alignment with Hitachi Energy and BU HSE standards and policies. Approves and coordinates audit programs on behalf of the HUB.You will support compliance with human rights, security and crisis management processes.You will contribute to effective risk management of HSE-related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice on key business decisions to HUB and LBU management teams.You will drive behavioural change by determining HUB requirements aligned with Hitachi Energy and BU. Leads and implements Hitachi Energy BU-wide performance improvement programs and practices aligned with annual HSE plans to ensure an exemplary HSE culture throughout the HUB.You will engage external (e.g. customers, suppliers and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment to Hitachi Energy and BU HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback. Cooperates with other functions and business partners to drive HSSE performance. Communicates, speaks and writes highly effectively in English. Additional languages may be required depending on the HUB.You will participate in defining the annual budget for area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints.You will establish, implement, and maintain HUB-specific risk programs that are aligned with Hitachi Energy and BU directives. Ensures their effectiveness in operations. Ensures the delivery of training, audit, and support for crucial risk programs is optimised. Ensures ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 third-party certification across HUB operations in line with Hitachi Energy and BU directives.You must ensure that the area of responsibility is appropriately organised, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Qualifications:University level education in a relevant discipline (e.g. electrical engineering, industrial manufacturing/processes, IOSH certificate or equivalent)Minimum 10+ years of experience in a HSE function in a global organisationExcellent knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements (e.g. Legislation, OHSAS18001, ISO14001)Ability to successfully support, persuade and influence senior management teams in a highly matrixed environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsCapable of working autonomously with remote and global teams and delivering in complex working environments
