3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer - VMware Blackburn (Commutable from Bolton, Preston, Burnley, Accrington, and surrounding areas) Up to £53,000 We are recruiting for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading organisation in Blackburn.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to provide high-level infrastructure support, take ownership of key IT projects, and act as a technical lead for the support team.
With a salary of up to £53,000, this role offers great exposure to a range of technologies, including VMware, Microsoft 365, and Azure.

Duties & Responsibilities: Provide 3rd Line support for server and application services, ensuring optimal performance across the IT estate.
Take the lead on infrastructure improvement projects, including server and network upgrades.
Serve as the technical point of contact for the support team, guiding troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Develop and maintain procedural documentation, knowledge base articles, and infrastructure documentation.
Collaborate with vendors and development teams to resolve complex technical issues and minimise downtime.
What Experience is Required: Strong experience in VMware, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
Proven expertise in server infrastructure, networking, and backup technologies (Veeam, Synology).
Previous experience managing 3rd Line support tickets and liaising with vendors to ensure SLA adherence.
Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary up to £53,000 per annum.
25 days annual leave (including Christmas shutdown).
Potential for up to £3,000 annual bonus after one year of service.
