We are currently looking for an Injury Management Advisor (IMA) to lead the injury management and service objectives of our high performing team. This role is integral to the performance of the business, the ongoing development of our Case Managers, and providing support and oversight to our medical management division. As such, we are looking for our successful applicant to be an inspiring mentor so the desire to motivate and build capability is a must. You'll be responsible for: Giving expert injury management advice ensuring responsiveness and quality in your decision making. Supporting and assisting case managers with the review and liability determination of a range of medical and like and surgery requests and managing our treatment request timeliness compliance standards. Leading initiatives that are aimed at improving efficiency, responsiveness, and quality decision making that contribute to overall team performance and culture. Liaising appropriately with treating health practitioners, injured workers and employers regarding a worker's recovery and injury management. Demonstrating leadership through your education, coaching, and development of case managers. Supporting the achievement of performance and compliance benchmarks across the workers compensation business unit. About you: Extensive injury management experience/case management within a personal injury scheme environment (Vic Workers Compensation Scheme experience will be highly regarded). An ability to build rapport with varying stakeholders including allied health professionals, workers, employers and our internal team members. An aptitude for coaching and developing others.
