The opportunity The Internal Communications Adviser is responsible for providing internal communications and administrative support across the organisation, including writing, editing, and reviewing content across multiple channels such as our intranet and staff magazine, providing internal communications support and advice, and building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for: Providing internal communications advice and support across the organisation, working in conjunction with other members of the Corporate Affairs team.
Assisting in researching and developing content for the SRO's internal staff magazine, including generating story leads, interviewing key internal stakeholders, writing content to style, and taking photos.
Developing and publishing (using a content management system) news articles for the organisation's intranet site and assisting with managing and updating the website.
Developing and implementing internal communication and stakeholder engagement plans and activities to support change management and drive behavioural change and awareness.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders to write, edit and proof internal communications content, including all-staff emails, presentations and Corporate Awards, ensuring it meets organisational needs, is accurate, grammatically correct, clear, concise, and consistent in tone and message.
Who we are looking for To be successful in this role, you will have: Significant experience writing, editing, and proofing internal corporate communications, across a range of platforms.
Experience developing internal communications strategies to deliver outcomes that meet the organisation's needs and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to strategically plan, prioritise and achieve high standards of performance for internal communications activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
Proven experience effectively managing internal stakeholders, solving problems, and implementing innovative solutions.
Tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience (3-5 years in a related role for a large professional organisation).
