About the role: The IT Support Officer role, based at Mansfield District Health, within the Hume region focuses on enhancing digital maturity across health services to improve patient care, aligning with Victoria's Digital Health Roadmap 2021-2025.
The role is crucial in supporting the deployment, maintenance, and configuration of core information systems and communication infrastructure for HRHA (Hume Rural Health Alliance) member health services.
Primarily, the IT Support Officer provides on-site IT support four days a week and remote support one day a week, responding to service requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating problems to relevant teams as needed.
The role also involves liaising with external vendors and participating in projects to enhance IT service delivery.
Key responsibilities include: Managing and troubleshooting IT systems, supporting network infrastructure, and ensuring security measures are in place, such as virus scanning and patching.
Strong communication skills for both technical documentation and interaction with various stakeholders.
Ability to maintain high service levels, participate in an on-call roster for after-hours support, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, making it a pivotal position in maintaining the IT environment within HRHA member health services.
