Summary:
Global leading insurance business seeking a Junior Data Analyst - Insurance to join their rapidly expanding & dynamic team on a two year maximum term salaried contract in the Melbourne CBD. Joining a leading global insurance business this Junior Data Analyst shall provide vital support to the underwriting teams, with a primary focus on assisting and expanding data and analytical needs and technical integrations with the underwriting functions. This Junior Data Analyst shall be embedded within a strategy-based team with a direct focus on facilitating operations and driving process improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate within the Strategy, Risk & Planning team to review and optimize data and analytics needs across underwriting functions.
Identify, analyze, and interpret data trends and patterns to support underwriting decision-making and product development.
Provide support in managing internal underwriting workbenches and platforms.
Regularly liaise with various business units to identify and address any operational issues affecting the business.
Assist in creating and distributing regular underwriting and fiscal reports.

Requirements:
1-2 Years Experience with an Insurance / Finance Company.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
Basic understanding of data visualization tools such as Power BI (nice to have).
Ability to analyze and interpret data to provide meaningful insights.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with multiple business units.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
