Junior Site Reliability Engineer - Azure Core New Tech Microsoft Corporation - Melbourne, VIC ITSource: u Workin JOB DESCRIPTION The Azure Core New Tech team is seeking a Junior Site Reliability Engineer who is eager to help with the New Technology onboarding process: automating how new hardware is verified, managed, and delivered to Microsoft datacenters for Azure, High-Performance Computing, Office, and Edge Computing products within Microsoft.
The team works at the interface of software and hardware.
The team creates technology to validate, onboard and manage the hardware throughout its lifespan (from arrival to disposal), track the hardware metadata, and ensure the quality and security of hardware when it reaches Microsoft datacenters.
It supports the expansion of all capacity for Microsoft services and is at the leading edge of new hardware platforms coming to the cloud.
The team is focused on automating the management and tracking the process of New Technology onboarding to bring new and innovative technologies to market faster.
In Azure Core New Tech team, your role as a Junior Site Reliability Engineer will be to understand requirements, identify issues/repairs, support the features and drive the improvements needed to enable the new technologies.

Responsibilities- Support ongoing engagements with product engineering teams by participating in code/design reviews, regular meetings, on-call rotations, and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles.- Work closely with Hardware Validation teams, System Integrators and DC Technicaians to identify issues, provide mitigations and drive root cause fixes to development and partner teams.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:- 1 to 2 years technical experience in site reliability engineering, software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Other Requirements:- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:?- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
