Avant Law Graduate Program In 2025, we're launching our on-site practical legal training (PLT) program in partnership with The College of Law.
This 18-week College of Law program will provide you with the chance to gain invaluable practical experience while working directly at Avant Law as a Graduate Lawyer.
We're looking for two dynamic graduate lawyers - one in Brisbane and one in Melbourne - to join us in this full-time position and start their journey towards a rewarding legal career.
This is a 12-month, fixed-term contract.
Our graduate lawyers will have the chance to explore different aspects of both medical indemnity and commercial law, including: Professional conduct Commercial and corporate advisory Employment and workplace Property Law Your key responsibilities: Assist lawyers with legal research and case preparation.
Draft legal documents such as briefs, memos, and contracts.
Conduct legal research and analysis.
Review and summarise case files and legal materials.
Attend client meetings, court hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Provide administrative support and manage case files.
We're looking for individuals who are: Driven and ambitious: Holding a relevant tertiary legal qualification of Bachelor of Laws and eligible for admission as a solicitor in the relevant jurisdiction.
Excellent communicators: With proven written and verbal communication skills.
Organised and proactive: Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic work environment.
Tech-savvy: Comfortable working in an electronic document management environment.
Interested in the healthcare sector: Exploring the opportunity for establishing a legal career focused on servicing clients in the medical profession.
