About the role We currently have an opportunity for a Lawyer (2-3 years' PQE) in our well-regarded Development team, led by Partner Nick Holuigue.
The Development practice at Maddocks is the pre-eminent property development practice in Victoria, with a team consisting of over 50 people, including six Partners, who work and collaborate with other sections of the firm to provide end-to-end legal advice in the property development cycle.
The team prides itself on being able to assist leading developers (both listed and private) by providing outstanding and commercial legal advice in each step of the development process (from acquisition to delivery) and has an in-depth understanding of the industry.
The team is actively involved in industry associations and assisting clients manage the ever-changing legal framework surrounding developments.
About you The successful candidate will ideally have 2-3 years' experience in property law (ideally, with some exposure to property development), be passionate about property, and committed to moving into a property development-focused role with the ability to become involved in all aspects of the development cycle and in project delivery in the residential, commercial/retail, and industrial sectors.
Furthermore, you will have strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment in a large team.
