With a global presence and a high-performing established legal team, the organisation seeks an experienced competition lawyer.
This is a senior, stimulating role working for a household name.
About the role The position is part of the global legal team, and you will be responsible for leading and managing competition, consumer law, international trade, and relevant regulatory matters.
You will also provide input on complex competition issues concerning M&A and maintain highly effective and relevant compliance frameworks.
You will proactively engage with senior stakeholders locally and globally to manage and lead group competition law advisory matters.
About you The ideal candidate will be at Senior Associate/Special Counsel level in private practice, or equivalent level in-house.
You are currently working at a leading law firm or trained in one before moving in-house.
You offer extensive expertise in advising on competition, anti-trust, and consumer law matters and the ability to apply principles and learnings in a corporate environment.
Your experience includes dealing with regulators, including the ACCC.
You are an influential communicator and able to easily build rapport and work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.
You are a collaborative legal advisor with strong business judgement and have unquestionable integrity.
