Our Social Enterprises, Eco Store, Eco Cafe & Eco Park removes the barriers to employment for people with disability to learn new skills and gain hands-on work experience.
Your key responsibilities are – Provide a positive and supportive environment for people with disability.
Provide person-centered active support to participants in one-to-one and group-based activities.
Facilitate individual and group activities, using a variety of enabling styles.
Assist in the creation and monitoring of individual goal plans or follow planned programs, as directed.
Complete required documentation and progress notes as required.
Promote a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for participants.
Provide any required self-care, social and emotional support to participants.
Use positive behavior support strategies.
Maintain appropriate and effective communication with all stakeholders, including Team Leaders, peers and management.
Create and seek opportunities that enable an individual to reach their own potential as a valued member of their community.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: High level of emotional intelligence and engagement skills Dedication to person centered support principles & individualised support practices.
Ability to apply understanding of 'duty of care' to delivering support services and escalate issues when needed.
Demonstrated ability to write and maintain accurate written records and documentation and experience in the use of technology.
Ability to use clear and concise language in verbal communication.
Passion for improving the life of people living with a disability.
