Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking an experienced administration officer to join our Indictable Crime team of legal staff and help make a difference in the community.
Multiple full-time ongoing positions Salary range: $62,123 - $76,425 plus super plus salary packaging Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model About the role Based at our Melbourne office, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of our client services.
You will triage client queries at court and in the office, as well as provide information and referrals to the public, legal practitioners, and other community services.
You will provide legal administrative support to our lawyers including client data entry, file management, preparation of legal documents, and general administrative support for the office.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
About you As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Experience in providing administrative support, ideally gained within a legal environment, and/or the ability to provide client-focused services in a complex, confidential, and sensitive environment.
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet timelines, and work under pressure to ensure efficient and effective delivery of VLA services.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
