Library & Archival Paraprofessional 4 Full Time, Permanent Help make a difference! Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for the delivery of library and information services to the incarcerated individuals, performing expert level library duties related to collection development, reference/information delivery, and automated circulation systems.
We currently have 7 openings for this full-time position with Institutional Library Services (ILS) of the Washington State Library, and they are available in the following counties: Mason, Grays Harbor, Snohomish, Spokane, Pierce and Walla Walla.
This position is an in-training position and can be filled at either the Library & Archives Paraprofessional 3 or Library & Archives Paraprofessional 4 level depending on the applicant's qualifications.
Monthly salary ranges for the two levels are as follows: Library & Archival Professional 3: $3,294 - $4,385 Library & Archival Professional 4: $3,883 - $5,214 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Within the past 10 years, four years of experience in a library providing adult/young adult public service Ability to read and write English language Ability to efficiently use a personal computer and applicable software to successfully perform the essential job functions of the position PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATION Experience with OCLC World Share interlibrary loan Experience providing adult/young adult reference and reader's advisory services WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time while working in a library/office environment.
The core hours are Monday - Friday from 8 AM-5 PM.
Some evening and weekend work is required.
Some in-state travel including overnight stays required.
If driving a vehicle for company purposes, will be required to submit a valid driver license to supervisor.
