About the role An opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to take on maintenance responsibility for two sites in Melbourne.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the Maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment and facilities.
This role will also oversee the implementation and improvement of asset management strategies.
They will be responsible for connecting and driving the engagement across the maintenance team while building and optimising the relationship with operations.
It is critical this person has the ability to lead from the front within the team at the shop floor level.
Critical to the role is the ability to be a strong leader within the maintenance leadership team.
The individual will need to be comfortable working hands-on with the team while having the ability to set the maintenance strategy.
It is essential this individual is able to shift the maintenance culture from a reactive to a preventative maintenance culture.
The right candidate will build strong relationships with the team and cross-functionally across the site.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing maintenance budgets and managing costs.
Skills & experiences This is an exciting and integral role within the business and your experience and skill set will include the following: Relevant tertiary qualification – Engineering Degree, trade qualification, or equivalent.
Demonstrated leadership within a maintenance environment, must be able to proactively lead a team and be heavily involved in each member's development.
Experience leading maintenance within an FMCG or related industry environment.
5 years+ experience in a maintenance and reliability focused team.
Experience with Lean and CI tools would be an advantage.
Ability to develop and manage a maintenance budget.
Strong people-oriented leader with the ability to build engagement.
