Local Council, North East Regional Victoria (250kms from CBD)
Hours:
38 hours per week, temporary contract with hybrid arrangement
Contract Length:
3 months with potential for extension
About The Role
Our client, a prominent council in North East Regional Victoria, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Management Reporting Coordinator to join their Finance Team on a temporary contract. There are two direct reports and the role reports to a Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation of the Council's annual budget, quarterly forecast reviews and monthly finance reports.
Liaise with internal and external clients to meet various reporting needs, including management, statutory, and financial returns in accordance with legislative and accounting guidelines.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance Team, including automation, knowledge transfer, and multiskilling staff to enhance operational efficiency.
About You
We are looking for a seasoned professional with:
Proven leadership experience in a similar role within the public sector.
Familiarity with TechnologyOne/FinanceOne (highly regarded).
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field with at least 3 years of experience.
