The Climate Action and Circular Economy Division is seeking a Manager for the Climate Science and Impacts team.
The role plays a critical part in building Victoria's climate resilience by ensuring that Victorian Government policies and operations are informed by the best available climate science.
If you are able to critically engage with complex scientific evidence and analysis and build relationships to apply it in a dynamic policy environment, then this is the role for you.
The position leads the Climate Science and Impacts Team in a supportive and high-performing division within DEECA.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team that provides advice on climate change science, data, and communications, and works with partners to inform science-based decision-making on climate change across Victoria.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications High level knowledge, skills and experience with policy analysis and advice is desirable.
Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders across government, industry, and the community on complex policy issues is desirable.
A well-developed understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable.
Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of climate science, data, and science communications is highly desirable.
Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are mandatory, and a postgraduate qualification is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 September 2025.
The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
