About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Operational Services Team here at AGL. As the Manager of Data & Reporting, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers, BI engineers and business analysts that will work across Customer Markets to understand the decision making and performance monitoring requirements, evaluate the current data and reporting landscape and work with Customer Markets stakeholders to consolidate, enhance and automate these reports using Business Intelligence capabilities.
You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer growth, customer value optimization, commercial planning and insights, and customer operations teams to align data and reporting with business goals and strategies.
The role will report to the Head of Operational Services & Optimisation and work closely with the Head of Cloud, Analytics & Data Platforms ensuring all areas are well coordinated. The role will require strong business stakeholder engagement, transparency and collaboration, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver solutions. Accordingly, business leadership skills and the ability to influence and work with different stakeholders will be critical.
What you'll be doing:
You'll be leading a team of Business Intelligence specialists with capabilities across a broad range of reporting and analytical tools.
Partnering with the customer markets leadership team to establish and agree on meaningful performance metrics and define gaps in current reporting and insight capability.
Partnering closely with stakeholders from Technology to leverage investments in data assets and infrastructure.
Creating and maintaining an accessible central repository of Customer Markets performance metrics and Business Intelligence applications.
Developing the Business Intelligence team, ensuring the team's technical capabilities are constantly evolving in line with market developments.
What you'll bring:
Excellent knowledge of technology and data architectures.
Experience in deploying Business intelligence environments across complex organisations, from project scope to stakeholder deployment.
Experience in delivering enterprise solutions across Business Intelligence and Data platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Proven multi layered people leader, with experience in leading teams through a period of significant change.
Team oriented, self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to work flexibly as part of a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.
Experience with data modelling and visualization, data processing systems and big data platforms.
