The Performance & Analytics ("P&A") team is responsible for the investment performance measurement, reporting and analytical activities across all the funds and investment sectors managed by the Agency.
Led by the Director, P&A, and supported by two Senior Managers, the reporting and analytical activities are provided by three teams, each led by a Manager who is a dedicated SME to the allocated investment sectors.
This Manager role will act as the dedicated SME for the Tangibles and Private Equity sectors.
Working closely with the Senior Manager responsible for managing the analyst pool, this role utilises the shared analyst pool and resources at our outsourced provider to deliver on required analytical outputs, provide hands-on support, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance investment decision-making.
You will ensure precise performance measurement, and insightful analysis across these asset classes, identifying performance drivers and conducting in-depth analysis including calculation and reporting of IRR, PME, Investment Multiples, attribution, and scenario analysis.
With a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, you'll lead regular forums to discuss performance drivers with the investment team, ensuring alignment with investment outcomes.
Understanding stakeholders' reporting and analytical needs will enable you to guide the implementation of new or modified requirements that meet these needs.
You will work with other leaders in P&A to prioritise requests and initiatives, allocate resources, and manage workloads to meet stakeholder needs while providing hands-on support for delivering accurate and timely periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analytics.
Ensuring adherence to governance standards, you will uphold the accuracy and integrity of our analytics, while collaborating with service providers to enhance outsourced managed services.
Additionally, you will leverage the expertise of the other Senior Manager responsible for Business and Change Management for support in implementing identified process enhancements, focusing on improving operational efficiency, and work with the Investment Technology and Operations Pillar Leads to align investment needs with broader agency initiatives.
As the primary point of contact for all data-related matters within your specific sectors, you'll work closely with the Investment Data Management (IDM) team to ensure seamless data alignment with Performance Analytics requirements.
To excel in this role, a deep understanding of investment markets, particularly for unlisted investments, and significant experience in performance and analytical activities across these asset classes is required.
You must also possess an advanced understanding of performance calculation methodologies, including derivatives, and benchmark analysis.

Postgraduate or professional qualifications such as CIPM and CFA Charter holders come highly regarded.
Experience Experience Expert understanding of performance calculation methodologies across multiple asset classes, particularly unlisted investments, alternatives and benchmark analysis.
Expert familiarisation with investment market environment.
A background in institutional funds management, industry, or other superannuation funds as well as custody and funds administration come highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability as a pro-active team player, with tasks and issues assigned followed through to completion.
