It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES. About the Role The Manager, Records and Information Management will be a key subject matter expert and will report to the Senior Manager, Data Management. The goal of the function is to deliver the TZV transformation program. The role focuses on the governance of information, providing supporting leadership and management in accordance with legislation, regulations, and approved records authorities. This role is required to effectively navigate a complex organization operating in a technical and regulated environment. It requires a skilled influencer able to inspire cultural and organizational process change and increase education and awareness on records and information management practices. Day to day responsibilities include: Provide subject matter expertise and leadership in the initiating, developing, communicating, and training of information management activities. Deliver the development and uplift of the Information Management tools such as the Data Glossary, Data Dictionary and Information Asset Register. Responsible for the development of the Data Governance Roadmap, the Data Governance framework, the Data Governance Operating Model, and the executive buy-in and approval. Responsible for the delivery of the implementation and roll-out of the Data Governance Framework. Delivery of the Data Retention and Disposal Policy, and other Information Management policies as directed. About You The preferred candidate will have critical thinking and problem-solving skills, will be customer-focused and exceptionally skilled at developing and maintaining positive relationships and have the following skills: Previous experience leading records and information management within a public sector environment. Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and facilitating information governance frameworks, strategies, policies, procedures, and initiatives relevant to a geographically diverse state agency. Proven experience in records management, including documentation classification, archives management and the preparation and interpretation of retention and disposal schedules. Detail-oriented, process-minded and copes well managing high volumes of work to tight deadlines. Tertiary/Diploma qualification in Information Management.
