The Role Reporting to the Manager, Regional Coordination, Loddon Mallee, the Manager, Regional Employment Precincts will coordinate work relating to Employment Precincts across the State and oversee the Victorian Government's investment in the delivery of the Bendigo Art Gallery (BAG) and Bendigo Regional Employment Precinct (BREP), with a strong focus on grants management and leveraging regional development opportunities associated with these projects on behalf of Regional Development Victoria.
The position will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including other groups within DJSIR, local councils and other Government Departments, to ensure effective outcomes and maximise investment for community and government.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Leading the development of a state-wide approach to the development of strategic employment precincts across regional Victoria.
Contributing to the identification and activation of strategic regional opportunities.
Project managing the development and delivery of the Bendigo Art Gallery and Bendigo Regional Employment Precinct projects.
The Team The position of Manager, Regional Employment Precincts forms a part of the Regional Development Victoria (RDV) Branch within the Regional Development and Outdoor Recreation Group.
RDV is the Victorian Government's lead agency in developing rural and regional Victoria.
With a focus on facilitating stronger communities utilising an evidence-based approach, RDV acts as a partner and investor to provide rural and regional Victoria with better infrastructure, facilities, and services; strengthen the economic and social base of communities; create jobs and improve career opportunities for regional Victorians; and support local project development and planning.
About You As the successful candidate for this role, you will have: Experience developing and leading projects involving significant engagement with government.
The ingenuity to formulate potential courses of action to achieve objectives.
High level verbal and written communication skills.
