We are updating our systems and processes to better service our Department.
Our branch will take a Category Management approach to execute sourcing strategies that will be predominantly undertaken by our Strategic Sourcing Team.
The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for leading and managing the Strategic Sourcing team involved in all phases of strategic sourcing activities with a focus on value creation opportunities.
As the successful applicant, you will: Lead the Strategic Sourcing team in navigating competitive environments Negotiate with suppliers Generate contracts to ensure seamless availability of products and services Work closely with the Category Management team to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies Support the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), providing leadership and advice to the Procurement branch on a range of sourcing needs This role requires highly developed commercial acumen with strong negotiation skills to deliver solutions to high-value and/or high-risk sourcing activities.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Experience managing, leading and developing a team delivering strategic sourcing and contract management.
Expert influence and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and finalise contracts with suppliers to deliver the best possible outcomes for the department.
Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices and procedures and financial management systems with at least five years' experience in strategic sourcing.
A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
