About the role: The Medical Affairs Associate is responsible for delivering high quality training, promotional review of marketing materials, medical information services, and pharmacovigilance duties.
Medical Affairs has oversight on industry code compliance activities and therefore will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure applicable advertising Codes and legislative requirements are followed to support commercial strategy for new and existing products.
Responsibilities: Executing medical affairs strategy.
Primary contact for promotional materials.
Review promotional materials to help ensure compliance with applicable advertising codes and registration details.
Review literature, technical information, and reference texts to support key messages included in training materials, promotional materials, and new product launches.
Provide training to new marketing colleagues on developing promotional materials.
Liaises with 3rd Party Providers to ensure MI inquiries are responded to in an accurate, balanced, and timely manner and compliance with relevant codes and approved information.
Prepare training and FAQ for new product launches and/or new promotional activities.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in Medical Information and Medical Affairs.
A tertiary qualification in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science is desirable.
Thorough understanding of relevant advertising codes (e.g., Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, TGA Advertising Code, Consumer Healthcare Products Australia).
An understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality, privacy, and data protection and security.
Effective time management skills to determine the appropriate allocation of time to tasks and duties, ensuring timely completion, meeting critical timeframes, and efficient use of time.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication.
Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
Proven self-direction with the skills to be resourceful and the ability to exercise discretion and judgment in working independently and as part of a team.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Share Point, One Drive, Forms, etc.
