In 2024, La Trobe, alongside its partners, was awarded funding to establish the ARC Research Hub for Molecular Biosensors at Point-of-Use (MOBIUS).
MOBIUS is a multidisciplinary research hub dedicated to accelerating the growth of Australia's biosensing industry through collaboration between industry, government, and academia.
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Hub Manager to oversee MOBIUS's operational and administrative functions.
You will play a pivotal role in establishing the governance and business activities of the Hub during its critical early phase.
Once established, you will lead a small team of professionals and manage a multimillion-dollar budget, fostering strong relationships with our university and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the Hub Director and leadership to develop essential operational frameworks, strategic plans, and KPI insights.
Manage contracts, intellectual property, and complex budget allocations.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including partner relationships, diversity initiatives, and strategic planning.
Manage Hub reporting and ensure compliance with legal obligations and strategic goals.
Represent MOBIUS in interactions with stakeholders and build long-term partnerships.
Organize events and functions to boost the Hub's reputation and engagement with partners.
What We're Looking For: Proven experience managing large-scale projects or research environments.
Leadership skills with the ability to build and foster relationships across academia and industry.
Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of ARC funding and research policies.
