The OHS consultant role reports to a Senior OHS Consultant within the team of specialist consultants delivering OHS services including: Risk assessments Incident investigations Workplace inspections Providing advice and support to clients on all matters relating to OHS What is in it for you? We offer benefits and programs that support career development such as: Professional development support Exam and study assistance Global rotation opportunities We also recognise the value of healthy, happy colleagues and promote a culture of care and wellbeing, offering benefits such as: Flexible working arrangements Opportunities to travel around Victoria and ability to work from home Professional environment where your career path really matters and is supported in our global organisation Great team environment with supportive colleagues We will count on you to: Provide OHS consulting and risk management services to Marsh clients and internal Marsh teams in the form of: Attending client sites to conduct OHS support visits Providing advice on compliance to the client's OHSMS and OHS legislative requirements Coaching and mentoring of client stakeholders Operation of telephone and email advisory service Completing technical risk assessments and associated reporting Developing and/or delivering OHS training Development and review of OHS management systems and/or documents Undertaking OHS site and system audits and other OHS support services as required Delivering written and verbal reports/advice that is of high quality, technical accuracy and timeliness for clients Maintaining strong day to day relationships with clients Following, promoting and facilitating the project management processes and procedures on all projects in accordance with Marsh operational requirements When performing work or SME function on projects, support the allocated Project Manager in executing allocated tasks or deliverables as assigned and in a timely manner.
Comply with company policy and procedures for Marsh and DE timekeeping, expense reporting and billing requirements.
What you need to have: Tertiary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or any relevant field (minimum Cert IV OHS + relevant experience will be considered) 2-3 years + experience in OHS advisory or related role is desirable Experience working with government organizations is highly regarded Sound working knowledge of OHS legislation and current issues in OHS Sound understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply these principles in the management of WHS hazards Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (desirable) Exemplar Global OHS auditor accreditation (desirable) Current drivers license and own vehicle required About us: Marsh is the world's leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
