We're a growing business, on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Warrnambool Region to join our team in an autonomous, but well supported role.
In this role, you'll provide quality occupational therapy services to a mixed caseload of Allied Therapy Services clients in the Warrnambool & South Coast community.
While you don't need to have worked in a community-based OT role before, ideally, you have had 2-years on the job experience working with clients who live with physical or cognitive disability, a neurological condition or are experiencing age-related changes.
If you are thinking of making the jump from public health, we provide additional onboarding support to therapists who are transitioning from public health into the private sector (see we have your back!).
NOTE: Unfortunately at this time we are unable to sponsor candidates from overseas for this role.
About your new role As an OT at Allied Therapy Services, your day could include: Starting your day with coffee & emails at home before venturing out to see your first client of the day.
Visiting a client in their home to review progress & help them achieve their goals.
Getting out and about in the community.
OT in the community can be creative and fun! Cooking a favourite meal in a client's kitchen, real life scooter trials around the lake, catching the bus to practice community access or working with a client to achieve their goals in their own environment.
Touching base with your Team Leader for a debrief and chat about your caseload.
Providing education and training to clients, their family and/or carers to help them continue your therapy program in the home.
Calling into the Warrnambool office for a cup of tea & quiet moment to complete your notes & write any reports.
Jumping online (from home or the office) to participate in a client care team meeting.
Attending a joint assessment or therapy session with one of our experienced Physios.
Popping into a Teams meeting with our OT Clinical Leads and other OTs across our teams to share learnings and knowledge, ask questions and seek support or share in professional development learnings.
Liaising with support coordinators, local area coordinators, or others in your clients support network to discuss their progress, goals and to work together to help overcome any barriers.
Taking part in a Warrnambool team meeting, listening to the latest in-house clinical podcast or our professional development program.
Finishing super early on a Friday as you have achieved your clinical targets for the week! (Yes, really!) Join our team and you'll enjoy Working for a well-established, community-based Allied Health provider with a strong referrer base ensuring a consistent & interesting mixed caseload of clients.
A structured 6-week clinical supervision and team support program built specifically for Allied Therapy Services new starters including customised support for those making the leap from public health to the private health sector.
Ongoing professional development support guided by a dedicated clinical lead from your discipline.

Minimum role requirements You have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
You have a general registration with AHPRA.
You have a current Australian driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.
You have a minimum of 2-years demonstrated work history as an Occupational Therapist working with clients who live with physical or cognitive disability, a neurological condition or are experiencing age-related changes.
