About the Role: Attention all enthusiastic Secondary PE/Health teachers! Tradewind is partnering with an F-9 school in Caroline Springs, Melbourne's West, seeking a passionate PE teacher to join their team this year, with the opportunity to continue into 2025.
You'll work alongside a committed and supportive PE team, teaching students in years 7-9.

Key duties: Designing and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate PE lessons that align with the Victorian Curriculum.
Providing clear instruction and demonstration of movement skills, sports techniques, and fitness exercises.
Teaching a range of topics related to physical education including health and well-being, nutrition, mental health, and personal development.
Conducting physical fitness assessments to evaluate students' strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness levels.
Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment by implementing appropriate safety procedures and risk management strategies during physical activities and sports.
Organizing and maintaining PE equipment, sports gear, and facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and accessible for students.
Integrating health education components into PE lessons to promote students' understanding of health-related topics such as nutrition, hygiene, mental health, and the benefits of physical activity.
Assessing students' progress and achievement in PE through various forms of assessment, such as skill demonstrations, performance tasks, fitness tests, and written assignments.
Skills & Experience: Must have full Australia Working Rights Hold VIT registration Hold a 4-year degree including at least 1 year teacher qualification Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary PE - open to graduates Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
