Position Information: Permanent Full time (1.0 FTE) 80 hours per fortnight Available from October 2024 The Pharmacy Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring that pharmaceutical procurement and pharmaceutical stock management within pharmacy locations across Western Health is effective and efficient.
This includes the responsibility for the efficient operation of the Pharmacy Stores at each campus, including inventory, space, and expiry management.
The Pharmacy Procurement Manager provides a key leadership role within the service as line manager for pharmacy stores and purchasing staff.
In collaboration and consultation with the Deputy Director of Pharmacy – Operations, Director of Pharmacy, and Lead Pharmacist - Medicines Strategy, the Pharmacy Procurement Manager may liaise with pharmaceutical industry partners to leverage the best possible pricing and access arrangements.
The Pharmacy Procurement Manager must ensure compliance with Department of Health, Health Share Victoria, and purchasing agreement requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in a supervisory role Previous hospital pharmacy experience Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment Excellent leadership and management skills Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the supervision of a warehouse or store facility Ability to proactively anticipate difficulties and resolve potential problems before they arise Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload Highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to implement quality improvements and produce quality outcomes Be reliable and show due care and attention to accuracy and detail Contact Person: James Polmear Title: Deputy Director of Pharmacy – Operations Applications close: 11:59 PM on 28 October 2024.
