Hey You Are you an enthusiastic, proactive people person? gen U is looking for Exercise Physiologist – Physical Health & Wellbeing Consultant to join our longstanding, purpose-driven and values-based organisation to make a real difference to people's lives.
In this role you will conduct comprehensive initial assessments, developing individualised exercise programs, monitoring client progress and making adjustments to their programs as needed, providing high quality practice to ensure optimal person-centred outcomes.
You will also be working in different sites covering the South East Melbourne employment region.
Part of this role will assist job seekers to reach their goals through holistic healthcare, lifestyle modification and vocational guidance, empowering them to have a better quality of life.
Your main responsibilities will include: Work with individuals on a one-to-one basis and in groups to support those experiencing physical health and/or wellbeing concerns.
Conduct a range of assessments including functional capacity evaluation, musculoskeletal and fitness, worksite and ergonomic.
Prescribe clinical exercise with a focus on work conditioning and strengthening modelled on client-focused short term interventions.
Deliver psycho-educational, work conditioning, manual handling, chronic pain management and strengthening group-based programs.

About You Our ideal Physical Health & Wellbeing Consultant will have: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or equivalent with a masters/graduate diploma in Exercise Physiology.
Accredited Exercise Physiologist registered with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia).
Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based and best practice therapeutic approaches.
Exceptional organisational abilities to facilitate the prioritisation and effective management of key duties.
You will need the following prior to commencement: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate of completion.
Current Working with Children's Check (employee).
