Job posted: 13/09/2024 • We have an exciting 12-month opportunity for a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Analyst • $103,556 - $132,687 base salary plus 11.5% super• Flexible hybrid working arrangements are available Our purpose is to keep Victorians energy safe and ensure energy is used confidently.

About the opportunity We have an exciting 12-month opportunity for a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Analyst to support the portfolio delivery and contribute to the maturity of project, program and portfolio management at Energy Safe Victoria.
Key accountabilities: Support the PMO Manager in the establishment of portfolio and project management frameworks, artefacts, processes and systems.
Preparing data and reports (governance, status and health, others as requested) with project managers, the PMO team and project stakeholders with an understanding of the different needs of each.
Support the development and implementation of an effective portfolio, program and project governance model and processes.
Contribute to the development and review of PMO processes and practices and identify opportunity for improved performance.
Supporting project managers and delivery leads with reporting, financial and risk management.
Establish a routine risk, issue, assumption and dependency tracking and reporting process working closely with key stakeholders.
Document and support the process, forums and ad-hoc and regular reporting cycles for the PMO governance forums.
To be successful, you'll have: Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional certifications.
Significant experience operating in a similar role with strong track record of delivery, experience in an Enterprise Portfolio Management Office would be highly regarded.
A strong understanding of project planning, benefits, budgeting, scheduling, risks and issues management, reporting tools and techniques.
Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to recognise emerging issues of importance to prepare the required PMO documents, registers, processes, and guides.
Exposure to different delivery methodologies (e.g.
agile, waterfall, hybrid).
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise summary documentation, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals across all levels of the organisation.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and a demonstrated ability to problem solve, display flexibility and pragmatism.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including experience in the use of Azure Dev Ops.
Previous government experience highly regarded.
