About The Role Grampians Health Services - Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is a dynamic mental health service dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care to the community while fostering a continuously improving clinical environment.
We are currently inviting applications for Post Graduate Psychiatric Nurse to join our Mental Health department in fixed-term part-time roles, offering 64 hours per fortnight.
Multiple positions are available.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to undertake two 6-month rotations in both inpatient and community-based settings, providing valuable experience to complement their postgraduate studies.
Skills & Experience Mandatory Qualifications and experience Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration Ongoing commitment to the delivery of evidence-based and best practice, family-inclusive treatments for patients with a serious mental disorder Holder of a current Victorian Drivers Licence Technical/Professional Knowledge And Skills Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding of contemporary evidence-based treatments and/or best practices, providing appropriate clinical responses within the multidisciplinary team context on a day-to-day basis.
Demonstrated awareness of relevant legislation, including but not limited to: Mental Health Act 2022, Guardianship and Administration Act and policies governing practice standards, including the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards 2017.
