About the role Reporting to the Principal Practitioner, the Practice Leader (Justice) provides leadership, mentoring, training, and expert advice to enhance VACCA's ability to support Aboriginal people involved with the justice system.
Recognising the overlap with programs in child and family welfare, family violence, and homelessness, the Practice Leader collaborates with other program leads, senior practitioners, and the Principal Practitioner to build staff capability and improve practices across VACCA.
About You The candidate must show commitment to VACCA's values, possess leadership and mentoring experience, and have an understanding of Aboriginal cultures and the justice system.
They should practice reflectively and culturally, maintain relevant skills, build strategic relationships, provide high-level policy advice, develop and implement policies, represent VACCA in forums, and innovate within a cultural context.
Excellent verbal and written skills are also required.
