ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a passionate, collaborative and innovative Pre-Preparatory Leader to manage our Pre-Preparatory Centre, in a progressive, supportive and well-resourced educational environment. This position will be responsible for managing our Pre-Prep program and providing innovative leadership in delivering high-quality early years' education. In this role, you will develop and implement a contemporary curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of young learners while fostering effective communication within the Pre-Prep community. You will supervise staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure compliance with relevant legislative standards. Additionally, this role involves active participation in school planning and close collaboration with the Head of Junior School. By supporting staff development and cultivating a positive learning environment, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for our Pre-Prep students and the wider school community. This is a full time, fixed term contract for the whole of 2025, commencing on 22 January 2025 and concluding on 12 December 2025. ABOUT YOU You are an outstanding early learning educator who can lead by example and model exceptional practice as the Leader of the service. With extensive experience in managing an Early Childhood room or centre, you demonstrate a deep knowledge of play-based pedagogy and best teaching practices. Your strong ability to engage with young boys, parents, and staff fosters positive relationships, while your exceptional interpersonal skills enhance communication throughout the school. You possess a flexible work ethic and a solid understanding of the evolving educational landscape, combined with a positive mindset and high emotional intelligence. A genuine passion for meeting the educational needs of young learners and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential. You will also have: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent, as approved by ACECQA (Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority) Current VIT Early Childhood Teacher registration Current First Aid certificate Asthma and Anaphylaxis training certification Mandatory Reporting certificate of completion Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in working with students, staff and parents. Outstanding planning and organisational skills coupled with adaptability to deal with the unexpected. Experience in fostering a dynamic learning community and committed to the development of the whole person.
